Survey Launch

I am very excited to announce the upcoming launch of the survey portion of this project. It is the culmination of two years of work on my dissertation and signals the start of the data collection phase of my degree. The project received ethics approval for data collection from Queen’s University in March of this year. The survey will be launching in October 2025! I’ve included some basic information about the survey and eligibility requirements below for potential participants.

Researchers in the Department of Geography and Planning at Queen’s University are looking for participants to complete a survey to investigate the relationship between the working conditions, precarity, well-being, and health of grocery store workers in Ontario.
As a participant in this survey, you would be asked to recall information about your work environment, health, and work-life balance to answer questions about them using an online survey tool called Qualtrics.
If you are employed by a Canadian grocery store chain in Ontario, you are eligible to participate.
The study will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes, and you can complete it online.
